I don’t know about you, but I am a huge fan of Vera Bradley’s gorgeous prints. This past holiday season I purchased Vera Bradley bags for several of the ladies in my family and everyone absolutely adored them. And now, what fun! Vera Bradley is releasing their new Disney Collection and with it I have discovered my ultimate bag–beautiful Vera Bradley fabrics interspersed with little images of my favorite mouse and his adorable lady friend. The release date for the bags and accessories has just been announced and fans will be able to purchase them at The Walt Disney World Resort’s Downtown Disney shopping area beginning September 21st and at the Disneyland Resort on September 23rd.
For now, the bags will be available in two prints, each bearing one of the Vera Bradley company’s signature fabric design names–Just Mousing Around, featuring a pink palette with colorful florals and (my favorite) Midnight with Mickey, featuring a black background and bright pops of color.
Disney announced the new items back in the spring with much enthusiasm. Cathy Dawson, merchandiser for accessories at Disney Parks, shared some details about what is being called, the initial collection–leading me to believe hat other Bradley items will be added to the new line–hopefully some of the latest tech items the company has begun to offer like laptop bags, tablet covers and smart phone cases. From the Disney Parks blog:
“We are thrilled to introduce Vera Bradley to our accessories assortment,” exclaimed Cathy. “In recent years, we’ve seen several guests in our parks and resorts sporting fun, colorful bags by Vera Bradley. Even our Disney Cruise Line team recently added some items by Vera Bradley to the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy. We thought it would be wonderful to add a splash of Disney to these popular and colorful accessory items.”
According to the Disney Park’s Blog, the collection’s release will be paired with a special celebration at the World of Disney in Downtown Disney beginning at 7:30 a.m. on September 21st. The bags will become available for purchase online beginning in October, 2013.
Prices for the initial collection starring 8 different pieces are as follows:

- Cosmetic Case – $35.00
- Duffle – $99.00
- Hipster – $70.00
- ID Case – $15.00
- Mini Hipster – $60.00
- Smart Phone Wristlet – $55.00
- Tote – $99.00
Right now, the Disney Collection by Vera Bradley is can be purchased in Walt Disney World at the World of Disney store at Downtown Disney. At the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, the bags are available at the World of Disney in the Downtown Disney District, in Disneyland park at China Closet, at Disney’s California Adventure in Elias & Co., and at Fantasia in the Disneyland Hotel. The collection is slated to be available online at the Disney Store at the end of October. In the meanwhile, you can purchase all of Vera Bradley’s gorgeous bags and accessories online at verabradley.com.
I just heard about Disney’s Vera Bradley’s line over the past year. Very excited about it. They always come up with such beautiful designs.

Aren’t the bags lovely? I was at WDW to run the marathon a couple of weeks ago and sadly there was nothing left at World of Disney of the “Midnight with Mickey” collection. There is a beautiful new navy blue, turquoise blue and green print (not sure the name of it) but there were only large duffles left, which I wasn’t in the market for. I’m sure this collection is going to be one that sticks with the Vera Bradley brand for a long time–hopefully I’ll own one soon!
ThEy are no where to be found! Asked at Downtown Disney 1st week in March 2014 & was told they were sold out & had been for a while. They NEVER know when they will receive anything??? Was told to keep checking the Disney online store—-NADA!!! What’s up w/this? VB certainly knew this would be popular???? SO DISAPPOINTED…..
Brenda, I know! I was down at World of Disney during marathon weekend in January and there were none left. I had loved them so much when they first arrived. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that more will become available since they’re just so cute!
Have looked and looked for the Disney Vera hipster. My daughter loves Vera Bradley and loves Disney. The only place you can find the purse is on eBay, where everyone is trying to sell for $200 and up. Can’t afford that.
