If it fits your family’s schedule, September can be an excellent time to visit. Crowds are at some of the lowest levels we’ll see all year with the exception of a few weeks in January. If heat and humidity are an issue, the weather in September is very similar to that of the summer months with high temperatures and frequent afternoon thunderstorms. While September in Florida is still hot, without the press of the crowds you can take things at {Read More}
Muppets Most Wanted Extended Game Day Trailer!
I am so excited about the revitalization of the Muppets. Growing up, the Muppets were a huge part of our family life. We watched the Muppet Show with my dad on Saturday nights and saw all the movies in the theaters. Later, when VCRs came out, The Muppet Movie was one of the first ones we rented. A couple of years ago I purchased the entire collection of the Muppet Show–Seasons 1, 2 & 3–for my girls on DVD, and {Read More}
Disney’s #Frozen Sing-a-Long Now in Theaters!
Great news for Frozen lovers everywhere–and this is certainly the case for the girls in our house! Friday, January 31st is the opening date of the sing-along version of the award winning Disney film Frozen, featuring Kristin Bell and Idina Menzel as princesses Anna and Elsa. My girls bought the soundtrack on iTunes and have been listening to and singing along with it pretty much non-stop since we saw the movie. I find myself singing the songs on my own {Read More}
I’m Hosting a #DisneySide @Home Celebration!
Disclosure: As a Disney Side @Home Celebration host I received a complimentary celebration kit from Disney Parks and Mom Select. All opinions in this post are my own. I’m very excited to announce that I was chosen by Disney to host a celebration in honor of their new “Show Your Disney Side” campaign! As a Disney Side host, I will be throwing a party in my home that inspires and encourages my guests to show their Disney sides. I’ll also {Read More}
Walt Disney World in July
In the summertime when the weather is high, you can stretch right up and touch the sky. -Mungo Jerry Here we are in July, folks and that red-hot calendar speaks volumes about what it’s like in Disney World this month in more ways than one. We’ve got lots of people and high temps and thick humidity and the growing possibility of afternoon thundershowers (though we’ll see lots more of those in August). But we’ve also got summer savings deals, extended {Read More}
Walt Disney World in June
Summertime is just about here, folks, with many southern schools finishing up and beginning their summer vacations at the end of May and in early June. As June draws to a close, the rest of the country’s kids are out for the summer and families are hitting the road with Disney World as their destination. Temps are creeping up and things are starting to feel steamy with increasing humidity. At the same time, there’s just nothing like the fun of {Read More}
Walt Disney World in May
Ahhh, beautiful May. As much as I’d go to Disney World pretty much any week of the year, I have to say that May is my absolute favorite time to be there. The weather is incredible (I don’t mind the heat, especially without the heavy-duty humidity of the summer months), crowds are low, there’s not a lot of rain, and I just love Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival which ends on May 18th. Maybe I should keep May a secret! {Read More}
Walt Disney World in April
April is a decidedly busy month to visit Disney World and the weeks including the Easter & Passover holidays are some of the busiest (and most expensive) all year. Many schools are closed for spring break and families flock to visit the Mouse. Can you still have a good time? Absolutely. A smart touring plan (which I can provide!) will help you to maximize your time in the parks and help you to avoid the long lines. One bonus is {Read More}
Walt Disney World in March
The March crowd calendar has a distinctly reggae-feel to it, right? In any case, that first green week, continuing from the low crowds during the last week in February, make this a really nice time to visit. Pricing this week remains at Regular Season but goes up to Peak Season as the crowds start to increase on March 7th. March starts to see temperatures rising as well, with highs in the upper 70s. Crowd Levels & Special Events For the {Read More}
Walt Disney World in February
February can be a fantastic month to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. Aside from the President’s Week hullaballoo, (resort prices rise to Peak Season that week), crowds are low and resort pricing is at either Value or Regular Season. Weather in February is similar to that in January and while we do see occasional 80-degree days, dressing in layers is still a must for the cooler mornings and evenings when the average lows are around 50°. Crowd Levels & {Read More}
